The Fulton County Government Center located at 141 Pryor
Street, Atlanta, GA 30303 re-opened three public outdoor terraces and an atrium
lounge on Tuesday, February 14, 2017. In celebration of Valentine’s Day and
Random Acts of Kindness Week, employees were treated to cupcakes on the Upper
Terrace adjacent to the Public Safety Building; which is located at Peachtree
Street and Mitchell Street.
Construction to remove and replace the existing paver system began in February 2015. The new waterproofing membrane and paver system was completed earlier this month.
“We are so excited to welcome employees and the public to
the newly reconstructed terraces and lounge,” said Fulton County Manager Dick
Anderson. “It’s been a labor of love for the entire DREAM Team who worked on
this project for employees and the public to enjoy.”
The Peachtree Terrace includes 4 café sets, 2 bar stools and
a bar table. The Atrium Lounge includes 4 chairs and 2 coffee tables. The Upper
Terrace Lounge includes 3 sofas and 2 picnic tables. The Lower Terrace Lounge
includes 2 sofas and 3 picnic tables.
The terraces and lounge are open to the public during
regular business hours from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday.
